The Austrian members pioneered an intergenerational mentoring program called "Intarconnect," which involves support and networking. In addition, the group started an initiative to build homes in their Rotary district, although across borders, in Srebenica, Bosnia. The site of the famous massacre is still recovering from the war.

Rotary Action Groups

Rotary Action Groups are international
Rotary-affiliated groups whose members
have subject-expertise and/or experience
in a particular area of specialization. They
use their knowledge, passion, and global
network to support Rotary and Rotaract
clubs, districts, and multi-districts in
planning and implementing impactful
humanitarian service projects. By bringing
expertise, partners, funding resources and
best practices to projects, they help clubs
scale up smaller projects to larger, higher
impact, more sustainable initiatives.

Rotary Leadership Institute

The Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) is a multi-district, grassroots leadership development program recommended by Rotary International and organized into regional divisions worldwide. It aims to provide quality education in Rotary knowledge and leadership skills to Rotarians interested in enhancing their participation and to those identified by Rotary Clubs as potential leaders. These educational opportunities benefit members both in their personal lives and volunteer service.

Rotary Partnership with Toastmasters

As Rotarians and Rotaractors, you joined Rotary to make a difference and connect with others in your communities. To support your personal and professional growth, Rotary International and Toastmasters International have formed an alliance, offering opportunities to expand your networks, leadership, and communication skills, enhancing your community impact. Toastmasters, a nonprofit with over 15,800 clubs in 149 countries since 1924, helps members become effective speakers and leaders. Rotarians can engage with this alliance by visiting Toastmasters clubs, inviting Toastmasters members to Rotary events, collaborating on projects, and taking Toastmasters-developed courses on communication and leadership. Resources such as videos, FAQs, and an interactive map of global collaborations are available to help you make the most of this partnership. Share your experiences and learn more through the Learning Center’s professional development catalog.
